On Monday, October 23, 2023, James Allan Cox, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas. He was sixty-four. Born to Velma (Vee) Hanley Cox and George Cox, on July 30,1959 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was raised in Tucker, GA and moved to Texas in 1986.
Jim, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, is survived by his wife, Sheila; son, Justin Cox; daughter, Tara Horvath (Paul); son, Michael Blanton (Roxana); daughter, Danielle Tays (Josh); brother, Mike Cox (Carolyn); and sister, Jan Adams (Tim). A devoted “Gampa,” Jim is survived by his seven grandchildren, Harlie Tays, Jasmine Blanton, Bryden Tays, Gracie Blanton, Jagger Blanton, Liam Horvath and Noah Horvath.
An avid sports fan, Jim enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Stars.
Married on September 4, 2005, Jim and Sheila were deeply in love, celebrating 18 years of marriage. Together, they built a wonderful life grounded in faith, family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday October 27th from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services for Jim will take place on Saturday October 28, 2023, at 10:00am. Both will be located at Twin Oaks Baptist Church located at 1301 S. Main Street, Keller, TX 76248.
