Ivis Anna Ford, age 61, born July 5, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away October 15, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. A native of Brooklyn New York, she was always a city girl at heart. Ivis moved with her parents to Florida and later to Texas with her husband and daughters where they made their home.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Cliff Ford; children, Natasha Ford, Anika Ford and Jessica Romero and son-in-law, Ross Romero; grandchildren, Levi, Jaxon and Elliot Romero; mother; Alice Sanabria; father, Lionel Sanabria; sister, Linda Rivera; sister-in-law, Peg Ford; brother-in-law, Jim Ford; nieces, Angelica Rivera, Cianna and Megan Rivera and Alana Ford; nephews, James and Justin Ford; aunt, Sonia Perez; uncles, James Perez and family and Bob Perez and family and numerous cousins, other family and friends.
Ivis was a wonderful, devoted mother and wife. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world. She loved to relax with her girls and a nice glass of moscato. Ivis was happiest when she was spending time with her family and friends. She was a life-long Miami Dolphins fan and hated the Dallas Cowboys with a passion. Ivis was the lead teacher in the infants room at Primrose School in Fort Worth. She loved her job, her co-workers and spoke highly of her supervisors. She enjoyed going to concerts, puzzles, reading, word searches, games on her tablet, watching New Amsterdam, This is Us, I Love Lucy and Disney movies.
She has the most beautiful bright smile. If she did not smile at you, you had a reason to be scared. She was a tough bird who will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248.
