Dear Goodwyn Family, 
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.  I pray that God’s love has and will continue to comfort you through this pain.  David was such a good friend! We meet in School for Little Children and stayed close friends until I moved to Kansas City after College.  I too am comforted in  remembering David’s relationship with Jesus…and I will see him again.

Dear Goodwyn family,

I am so sorry for the loss of a cherished son, brother, father and husband.  He will be truly missed.

And I’m saddened that my friend from the hospital nursery has died at such a young age.  Me and David were born a day apart, Jan 17th and 18th, in Good Shepherd Hospital Longview. 

I share many fond memories that mutual friends have chosen to add.  David was a fierce competitor and very much contributed to FBC basketball prowess in the church league.  I think Bud might have been on the losing side a few times😁.

It was noted that David loved sports and specifically he followed sports talk radio.  I concur completely.  When I graduated college David was already set in Dallas with a big accounting firm.  He offered me he his couch while I was job searching.  And I’ll never forget his extreme generosity,  David loved the Texas Rangers, and during this time he would often ride around in the car listening to WBAP  820 for Rangers games.

As Bud added that David was a volunteer referee it reminded me of his early age involvement umpiring little league baseball in Longview many years ago.  He loved working those youth games.

I have so many great memories of growing up with David.  Thanks David for those!

My respect and heartfelt condolences on your loss. I have many great memories of David through our middle school, high school and early college days. We competed against each other in numerous sports and played together on many teams as well.

I was fortunate to run into David in the Grapevine area a few years ago - I was coaching my sons basketball team and David was volunteer referee.  We were able to share a laugh and some old memories from our early days. It was great to see he still had such passion for sports and competition.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.  I ask God to bless you with comfort, peace, and hope in the Name of Jesus.  I have very fond memories of all the time I spent with David growing up together in Longview from elementary school through high school and at UT. We played on many football, basketball, and baseball teams together.  He was  a gifted athlete with an infectious competitive spirit.   We also had many sleep overs, golf outings at Alpine Golf Course, Boy Scouts meetings and camp, hanging out at Lake Cherokee, going to church together, riding around in his El Camino and spending our youth together.  He was a loyal and encouraging friend.  I am comforted in remembering David knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior and I  look forward to the reunion in Heaven. 

David was always a step ahead looking out for the ATO’s in the 3-4am start time. Always calling me if I had the 5am departures when we opened at 4am, sending me agents from other ATO’s and gates. He was always upbeat and I loved hearing his voice and constant assistance as the true professional he was. We all will miss this special soul who left us way to early. David we know your in heaven still watching over your family. God Bless 

I am so sorry for your loss. David and I were analysts together back in AA Cargo when we both started with the company. I have many fond memories of working long hours together during budget seasons and the fun we would have cracking jokes over our cube walls.

I was later blessed to work with him again at DFW and greatly enjoyed that time as well. He was a great person and teammate.

I am so heartbroken to hear this news. I attended LHS with David and he was one a gem of a guy! May his memory be a blessing. Keeping all of you in my heart and prayers.
