He was a native of Longmont, Colorado and descendent of J.J. Beasley.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska.
He married another Longmont native, Betty Lou Schlupp, in June 1955.
After completing his master’s degree, he began his teaching career at Longmont High, Longmont Jr. High and wrapped up his career at Lyons Middle and High School. He retired in 1988.
After his retirement, he enjoyed the solitude of the Colorado mountains and the spiritual and social interaction of his church, Poudre Christian Fellowship in Belluve, Colorado.
Charles is survived by his children: Randy, Tim (Terri) and Cindy (Gary) and is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Christi, Curtis (Olivia) and Holly (Mack) and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou by 49 years and now can be dancing with her in his arms to Tommy Dorsey.
Charley requested no service or memorial.
