Belen Torres

Belen Torres, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved her. She was born on October 23rd, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois to Raquel Torres and Joaquin Prado. Belen dedicated her time to taking care of other peoples babies, and all of the parents and babies that came across her path loved and trusted her because of the kindness and patience that she radiated. Her role as a mother and grandmother, was the most important thing to her. Even through her battle and sickness, her primary focus was still to be loving and caring for her family. She left behind a lesson to truly live life, because life is beautiful , and to not stress about the small things. Belen is survived by her husband, Jose Torres, her son, Samuel Torres, her daughter, Esmeralda Torres, her grandchildren, Malakai Wright and Samuel Torres, her siblings- Joaquin Prado, Ricardo Prado, Raquel Prado, Ana Lilia Prado, and her mother, Raquel Torres. She was preceded in death by Joaquin Prado. The Service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with a reception to follow in the SEAS lounge.
