William E Tankersley

His parents, William G. and Donna M. (Smith) Tankersley, welcomed their son into the world on August 19, 1962, in Laconia, NH. Bill grew up in Bolton and Lancaster, MA, and was a 1980 graduate of Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton.

While residing in Bolton, Bill worked as a mechanic at his grandfather’s garage, Smith Motor Sales, for many years. He was also a volunteer on the Bolton Fire Department and Ambulance Service.

He later worked for Peoples Linen in Keene, NH, and was a volunteer with the Marlow Ambulance Service. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Marlow.

Bill loved riding his motorcycle, boating and spending time with his many friends, and his dog, Lily.

He will be greatly missed by many, especially his mother, Donna M. Smith of Keene; his two granddaughters, Mariah and Skyla; his sisters, Lisa and Paula; his brothers, Shawn, Kevin, Brian and Michael; his uncles, Paul Smith and David Tankersley; his dog, Lily; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A daughter, Gina Tankersley; his father; his maternal grandparents, Ann and Donald Smith, and his paternal grandparents, William and Pauline Tankersley, predeceased Bill.

Services for Bill will be held privately by the family.
