Robert F. “Bob” Tebo 83, of Richardson Road, Marlborough, NH and formerly of Keene, NH, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday evening, September 12, 2016, at the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Claremont, NH, on August 11, 1933, the son of Adin and Harriet (Bostwick) Tebo. He grew up in Claremont, attending local schools, and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Claremont.
A resident of Keene for many years, Bob worked with Markem Corporation, starting in the machine shop, and later as manager of the assembly department. He retired from Markem after 34 years of service with the company. Following retirement, Bob still wished to be active within the community, so he acquired a job with the Cheshire County Superior Court as a court bailiff, a job he truly loved, and continued to do for the past 15 years. In fact, he was still working as a bailiff up until just two weeks ago.
Bob truly loved the great out-of-doors, hunting and fishing, kayaking, hiking and 4-wheeling were some of his favorites. He was also a member of the Cheshire County Fish and Game Club. Bob also enjoyed going to Foxwood, auctions and antiquing.
He was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Keene.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Cindy Cheever and her husband, Jim, of Lempster, NH, Susan Castor and her husband, Stan, Jr. of Nelson, NH, Brian Tebo and his partner, Rita Faulkner, of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, Heidi Epps and her husband, Dan, Aaron Cheever and his wife, Eileen, Adam Castor and his wife, Pam, Heather Castor and her partner, Tristan Lapointe, Megan Morton and her husband, Evan, Paige Tita and her husband, Michael, Brandon Tebo and his partner Alexis Abercrombie; seven great-grandchildren, Clare Castor, Ani Castor, Kateri Castor, Gideon Castor, the pending arrival of Cecilia Castor, Chloe Morton, Jacoby Lapointe; two brothers, Donald Tebo and his wife, Debbie, of Claremont, Ronald Tebo and his wife, Sandy, of Mass.; a sister, Pat Bean of Claremont; and many nieces, nephews and his large extended family. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Annette M. “Ann” Tebo, on January 5, 2015; a son, Michael Tebo on May 26, 2014; and two brothers, Jerry Tebo and Jim Tebo.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, September 19th at 11:30 in St. Margaret Mary Church, 33 Arch Street, Keene. Burial will follow in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday morning from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to all of the doctors and nurses, especially, Dr. Anna Ruelle, Michelle Cournoyer, Dr. Robert Pritchard, Dr. Steven Larmon, all of the wonderful staff at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center Pavilion, as well as the Kingsbury Unit Staff on the second floor of the Cheshire Medical Center, for all the wonderful care, compassion and support Bob received.
