Robert T. Pratt, Sr. “Pop”, 86, a long-time resident of Marlborough, NH passed away peacefully at Pheasant Wood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Peterborough, NH on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, following a period of declining health.
He was born September 12, 1931 in Keene, NH, the son of George and Nellie (Goodnow) Pratt.
He proudly served our Nation as a member of the United States Army during WWII.
On February 4, 1956 he married the love of his life: Joyce Willett.
“Pop”, as he was known to most was a very hard-working, fun-loving compassionate person, who was always willing to help a neighbor in need or a friend with a project. He loved spending time with his family and was happiest when he was sitting in the sun in his favorite lawn chair, watching the squirrels and birds in his yard.
He is survived by his sons, Robert T. Pratt, Jr. and his wife, Kristie, of Marlborough and Richard Pratt and his wife, Julie, of Marlborough; grandchildren, Keith Pratt and his wife, Erica, Amanda Winchester and her husband, William, Tara Fandino and her husband, James, and Samantha Boyd and her fiancé, Jesse Pride; great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Izabel, Benjamin, Easton and Vincent; his sister, Flossie Cooke and her husband, Harold; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is predeceased by his wife; sisters, Cora and Barbara; brothers, Pearly and his wife, Ruth, and Raymond and his, wife, Anne.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Granite St. Marlborough, NH. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate, Two Wall Street, Manchester, NH. 03101.
