Paul was born in Keene, on February 1, 1929, the son of John and Rosa (Martin) Emmond. He was a 1947 graduate of Keene High School, and lived in Keene most of his life.
Paul served in the United States Navy and later worked at and eventually owned and operated Emmond’s Luncheonette on Central Square in downtown Keene. He has also worked at Filtrine, NH Ball Bearing and Smith’s Medical. Paul was a past Commander of the Gordon Bissell Post #4 American Legion and a member of the V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife: Jane Emmond of Keene; six children: John Emmond of Orangevale, CA, James Emmond of Amherst, NH , Jeffrey Emmond of Haverill, NH, Micheal Emmond of Sunapee, NH, Frederick (Ted) Emmond of Keene, and Michele (Emmond) Jackson of Swanzey; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by both parents; one brother: John Emmond, one sister: Rita (Emmond) Kretowitz and a grandson: Benjamin Emmond.
A private service and burial will be held by the immediate family. There are no public calling hours.
