

He was born September 5, 1949, in Diez, Germany, the son of Jan and Antonina (Swirski) Pomasko. He was a 1967 graduate of Frontier Regional High School in South Deerfield, MA. He studied at the Colorado School of Trades, where he received an Associate of Occupational Degree in Gunsmithing. He was employed at Precitech, in Keene, NH as a tool maker machinist. He also proudly served his country in during the Vietnam War, as a member of the United States Air Force.
Nik was most comfortable in the outdoors, whether hunting or fishing. He loved to spend time with his son on the Connecticut River, in his boat. He loved spending time with his family and he enjoyed cooking for them.
He is survived by his son: Eric Pomasko and his wife Karen of Peterborough, NH, a sister: Walentyna Axton of Greenfield, MA, two brothers: Jan Pomasko and his wife Susan of Alstead, NH and Gregory Pomasko and his wife Joyce of Fitchburg, MA, three nieces and a great-niece.
A Celebrate of Life will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the VFW on Winchester Street in Keene, NH from 3 to 6pm.
