He was born in Keene, NH on October 26, 1967 the son of Allen C. and Kathleen (Clough) DeMond.
Nathan grew up and attended schools in Keene and was a 2009 graduate at Keene State College with a degree in Safety Science. He was a former member of the Keene Explorers Post and was very active in the Future Farmers of America where he won several awards including awards in Floral design.
Nathan was currently employed by Keene State College as a general maintenance mechanic with the grounds crew. He was previously employed by the former Bradley’s Department in Keene.
He loved being with all of his family and especially being out of doors. He enjoyed woodworking, and fishing. He had a great love for nature and his passion was birding. He had a great sense of humor and loved to be with people. He attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Fitzwilliam.
He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Rebecca L. (Colburn) DeMond of Fitzwilliam, NH, a son, Dorrian L. DeMond and a daughter Piper L. DeMond both of Fitzwilliam; two sisters Tina Bradley and her husband Dennis of Keene, NH and Kimberly Matheson of Jaffrey, NH; a brother Jason A. Michaels and his wife Candi of Bennington, his mother Kathleen Newlan of Keene and his father Allen C. DeMond of Keene and his step-mother Deborah DeMond of Keene; several aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews and one great niece.
Funeral services will be held in the Trinity Baptist Church, General Reed Highway, Fitzwilliam, NH on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Larry Vincent, pastor will officiate. Spring burial will be at a later date in Fitzwilliam. Family and friends are invited to call the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, in Keene on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
