She was born in Keene, NH on January 20, 1925, the daughter of Edward Leslie and Teresa (Hervieux) Reynolds. Marjorie was educated in Keene schools, graduating from Keene High School’s class of ‘44.
She married Carl Taylor on April 28, 1945 in Swanzey, NH. After starting a family in Keene, they moved to Troy, NH where for many years they owned and operated the Troy IGA. Later she worked in the Cheshire Medical Center’s laundry department. After retirement she moved to Florida to live with her sister.
In her life she enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, going to church, going for walks and visiting with friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Edward and his wife, Rhonda, of Winchester, NH; grandson, Joshua Taylor and his wife, Laura, of Rome, NY; granddaughter, Rebekah Thomas and her husband, Harold, of Winchester; two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Craig Taylor of Claremont; and her very special friend and companion for many years, Ernest Faucher. She was predeceased by her husband; her daughter, Carlyn; her granddaughter, Stormi Lee; and her three siblings, Edward Reynolds, Mildreth Roy and Dorothy Crawford.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Mountain View Cemetery, Swanzey, at a date and time to be announced. There are no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations may be made in Mrs. Taylor’s memory to The Salvation Army, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene, NH 03431; or to the Alzheimer's Association, Mass & NH Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452; or to a charity of one’s choice.
