John R. Coppola

He was born in Keene, NH, July 03, 1947, the son of Joseph M. and Grace (DiTullio) Coppola.

A lifelong resident of Keene, he was a 1965 graduate of Keene High School. He received a bachelor degree from Keene State College and an associate degree from Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner, MA

Mr. Coppola worked at the Kingsbury Corporation in Keene and at the former Schleicher and Schuell Company in Keene. He later worked for several years as a supervisor in the warehouse and shipping area for HCP Packaging in Hinsdale, NH.

He was a member of the Kappa Delta Phi at Keene State College and a longtime member of the William Marconi Italian Society. He enjoyed fishing with his sons, swimming, and gardening. He was an avid golfer. His treasured pastime was his time spent with his family and with his beloved dog, Benji.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gail A. (Young) Coppola of Keene; his twin sons, Michael J. Coppola and his wife, Christina, of Maynard, MA and Ryan A. Coppola of Waterford, CT; grandson, Luca J. Coppola; two brothers, Richard Coppola and his wife, Patricia, of PA, William Coppola and his wife, Anna, of MA; his step-children, Jody McDermott and her husband, Russell, of Troy, NH, Jeffrey Driscoll and his wife, Ellen, of Swanzey, NH, Tracy McDonald of Keene, Jennifer Dutton of Hillsborough, NH; step-grandchildren, Scott Driscoll, Brian Driscoll, Megan McDonald, Hunter McDonald, Elizabeth Dutton, Zachary Dutton; sister-in-law, Linda Schlichting of Spofford, NH; three nieces; one nephew; several cousins, and his many friends in the area.

At Mr. Coppola’s request, there will be no formal services or calling hours.
