Her parents, Eugene and Ann (Constantine) Fifield welcomed their daughter into the world on March 1, 1935, in Norwood, MA. She grew up in Durham, Maine.
Jeanette worked for several years as a medical assistant in the office of Dr. Meehan in Jaffrey, NH. She later worked for fifteen years as a senior word processer with the Peerless Insurance Company in Keene.
She is survived by a sister, Ethel Wargo of New Boston, NH, a stepson and stepdaughter, and her longtime friend, Barbara Brewer, of Marlborough, NH. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, James Newton, on March 31, 2014, and a sister, Esther FiField.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Neil Sandford, a longtime friend of Jeanett’s, will officiate. All are welcome. Burial will be in the spring in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Keene.
