She was born in Keene, NH on April 1, 1929 the daughter of Raymond and Rita Patnode.
She grew up in Keene, attended local schools and was a graduate of the Dresser Business School in Keene.
Pat, as she was known by her family and friends, was a very hard worker. She managed two households, including painting and gardening while caring for her two daughters, husband, and the family dog. She also worked as a secretary for the General Electric Company in Lynn, MA. She designed and sewed her own clothing. She always looked beautiful. She loved to decorate her home with flowers and took many photographs of sunsets and her friends. She loved the water and enjoyed vacationing in Florida, collecting sea shells, swimming, sailing, waterskiing and sunset cruises on Lake Nubanusit in New Hampshire.
Pat loved her family and her many friends. She enjoyed planning surprises and giving presents. She also hosted many last-minute dinner parties and snowmobile picnics. She was kind to everyone and made everyone’s life special.
Survivors include her two daughters; Pamela C. Esmon and her husband David Fallside of Nevada City, CA and Jan Rogers and her husband David of Nelson, NY; three grandchildren, Laura Kennedy, Eric Rogers and Tavish Fallside; four great-grandchildren, Arya Rogers, Franklin Kennedy, Oliver Rogers, and Allison Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gene Patnode.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Bernard’s Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH on Saturday, April 14th at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. Daniel O. Lamothe will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Nelson Village Cemetery at a later date. There are no visiting hours.
