George E. Joslin, Jr. 82, a resident of Keene, NH passed away at the Westwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Keene, on Friday, November 3, 2017, following a long and courageous journey with Alzheimer’s.
He was born April 24, 1935, in Keene the son of George E. and Marie (Elder) Joslin, Sr. He was a 1953 graduate of Keene High School and went on to attend Keene State College. He served our Nation as member of the United States Army National Guard. On January 8, 1966 he married the love of his life: Elizabeth Kerwin.
George was a devoted husband and father and loved his family very much. He enjoyed being out in nature: playing tennis, skiing, fishing and spending time on the water in his boat at Spofford Lake. He also held a special place in his heart for animals.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Joslin of Keene, his daughter: Jill Yurgeles and her husband Peter of Vass, NC, his son: Brian Joslin of CT. his brother: John Joslin and his wife Ruth of Keene, sisters-in-law: Karen Joslin of Campton, NH and Paulette Joslin of Cottenwood, AZ and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is predeceased by his brothers: William and Charles Joslin and his niece: Amy Joslin.
A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Margaret Mary Church, Arch Street, Keene. Burial will be in the Spofford Village Cemetery on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 1pm. There will be no public calling hours.
