His parents, Leon F. and Iona (Smith) Emerson welcomed their son into the world on July 12, 1943, in Newport, NH.
With a thirst for knowledge and the sharing of this knowledge to others, Earle’s life encircled the world of education, a career that spanned over 34 years.
With a focus on math and science, Earle taught in the Whitefield, VT school system. While there, he also coached the school’s basketball team.
He earned his master’s degree in education from Keene State College.
In 1965, Earle moved to Rochester, NH to take another educational role, that of teaching at the Rochester Middle School.
Earle had a special place in his heart for his beagle dogs.
He will be greatly missed by many, especially his brother, Edward B. Emerson and his wife, Dianne, of Rochester, NH; his nephews, Travis Emerson, Corey Emerson, Scott Castle; and his great nieces and nephews, Adrian, Hayden, Erin, Memphis, Loretta, Madison and Hunter. A sister, Joanne Castle predeceased him.
A graveside service will be held in the North Cemetery, Newport, NH, at a date and time to be announced.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Mr. Emerson’s memory to one’s local humane society or dog rescue organization.
