He was born in Keene, NH, January 03, 1951, the son of Roger C. and Jeannette L. (Mitchell) Clark.
He was a 1969 graduate of Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey, where he was tri-captain of the varsity football team and a member of the varsity baseball team. He had a gifted voice, and was part of the acappella choir at Monadnock Regional High School, and was known for his singing of the song the “House of the Rising Sun”.
Mr. Clark was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a member and past post commander of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Keene Post #4. He was instrumental in bringing a veteran’s clinic to Keene, working very closely with Governor Jeanne Sheehan. He also appeared in commercials on Governor Sheehan’s behalf during her campaign for the New Hampshire Senate.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He had a special love for animals, especially his dog “Petey”.
Mr. Clark is survived by his mother, Jeannette L. Hall, of Keene; two brothers, Matthew R. Clark and his wife, Patricia of Swanzey, Steven M. Clark and his wife, Marcia A., of Richmond, NH; a sister, Laura H. Briedis and her husband, Roberts, of Ashuelot, NH; a niece, Sara A. Clark of Virginia Beach; two nephews, Peter Clark and his wife, Karen, of Portland, ME, Christopher Clark and his wife, Marie, of Plainville, CT; and two great-nephews. He was predeceased by his father and a nephew, Seth M. Clark.
Private graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring in the Mountain View Cemetery, Swanzey.
