Donna M Lang

Donna was born August 20, 1948 in Keene, NH, the daughter of William J. Jacobson and Blanche E. (Gauthier) Jacobson. She was blessed to have Robert Wharton, Sr. as her “dad” after William died while she and her brother were very young.

She was a member of the graduating class of 1966 at Monadnock Regional High School, where it was discovered she was a talented artist. Donna was a hairdresser after she graduated, but her greatest passion was being a mom to her two daughters.

She spent the later years of her life as a Direct Support Provider with Chesco, Monadnock Developmental Services, and Residential Resources. The individuals she assisted in living independently became family to her, and she loved making a difference in their lives. She also held a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dog, Jacob.

Donna is survived by her two daughters, Stacy M. Lepkowski and her husband Edward of Athol, MA., and Hailey J. Schmidt and her husband Nathan of Richmond, NH. Donna has nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by her brother, William J. Jacobson II, who passed away in 2017.

Donna made many friends while living at Marlborough Homes Senior Housing, and was part of the fellowship at First Baptist Church of Troy, NH. She will be remembered most for her self-sacrificing love for her family and anyone in need, and for her deep and abiding faith.

A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Troy, NH on Saturday, March 17 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Troy or local organizations that provide assistance to those in need.
