He was born in Keene, NH, October 20, 1988, the son of Michael A. and Kathleen A. (Verrone) Blair.
A gentle soul, he cherished his family who kept him centered and grounded in life. He was a humble, caring person, who was always willing to help others. Cameron touched the lives of many people he met throughout his life, often not knowing how profoundly.
He was an avid soccer player, participating for nine years on a select premiere travel team, playing games in places throughout the United States, Canada and Italy. While attending Keene High School, he was a four-year varsity player on the high school soccer team and continued his soccer playing career with Keene State College for four more years.
A 2007 graduate of Keene High School, Mr. Blair went on to earn a degree in Health Promotion and Fitness at Keene State College, graduating in 2012.
His Air Force career began January 20, 2014 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, completing his basic training on March 28, 2014. He was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio from March 31, 2014 until August 15, 2014 when he was transferred to Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha as an Airman First Class specializing in diagnostic imaging. He was to report to his new station at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi on Tuesday, May 26th and was excited to start the next chapter of his life.
Cameron loved the great outdoors, and hiking. He also loved music and attending music festivals. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan alongside his father. His soft, humanitarian side was further demonstrated with the following quote; “Pretty sure it’s inevitable that I’m going to own at least 7 adopted dogs, then just end up owning my own rescue.”
Cameron had just spent his leave visiting family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Kathleen Blair of Keene; three sisters, Jennifer Blair-Payami and her husband, Ali, of White Plains, NY, Alexis Bruno and her husband, James, of Long Island, NY, his twin sister, Kelsey Blair of Keene; his paternal grandmother, Beverly Blair of Polk, City, FL; his maternal grandmother, Jennie Verrone of Pomona, NY; his maternal grandfather, Raymond Verrone, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; his paternal aunt, Kathy Beliveau and her husband, David, of Swanzey, NH; paternal uncle, Brian Blair and his wife, Patti of Rockford, IL; his maternal aunt, Donna Verrone of Woodstock, GA; his maternal uncle, Owen Verrone, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; his cousins, Greg Blair, Becky Blair, Adam Van Omen, Stephen Van Omen, Courtney Riggio, Amanda DeBenedetto & Emily Bertipaglia. Army Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to call at the Monadnock Covenant Church on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
