He was born on May 10, 1961 to Barbara Jean (Stone) and Howard James Mackey in Oakland, CA. He was raised in El Cerrito, CA where he attended area schools.
A dedicated family man, Bruce spent nearly all of his free time with his wife and sons. He enjoyed reading, going to the movies, playing chess, and he excelled at trivia. Bruce had an extensive network of friends, all of whom have have expressed how truly remarkable Bruce has always been.
Bruce will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 28 years: Lauré (Dunfey) Mackey of Keene; two sons: Ben and Chris Mackey, both of Keene; family in California, brothers: Kevin Mackey and his wife Margaret and Patrick Mackey and his wife Karen; and father: Howard Mackey.
He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Mackey.
In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, private services will be held at a later date.
