Betty L Burowski Thomas

She was born on April 20, 1929, in Plattsburgh, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Anna ( Stanciewz ) Burowski.

She married Carl B Thomas on November 16, 1947 in a ceremony in Plattsburg, NY.

In 1971, Betty and her husband started the Carl B Thomas Construction Corp. She was a great support to the success of the business.

Betty loved her family and her winters spent in Florida. She liked to garden and her treat to family at Christmas were homemade perogies. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her husband, of 65 years, Carl B Thomas of Spofford; two sons: David Thomas and his wife Linda of Spofford and Chris Thomas and his wife Donna of Keene and a daughter: Lynn Thomas of Spofford; as well as 5 grandchildren: Eric, Jennifer, Mathew, Jason, & Jonathan and 6 great grandchildren.

Her oldest son Jeffrey died previously.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Bernard Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 30 at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held at the Fletcher Funeral Home on Monday, July 29 from 5:00 until 7:00.
