He was born in Claremont, NH, May 14, 1989, the son of David W. and Faith (Wolper) Moseley.
He attended Stevens High School in Claremont until transferring to Brattleboro (VT) High School where he was a 2007 graduate. He later attended Bridgewater (Mass.) State College.
Ben was a professional web designer whose work was greatly admired by users and fellow designers alike. At the time of his death, he also worked at the Charlestown House of Pizza.
During high school, Ben was an active athlete. He played soccer and basketball. He competed in cross-country skiing, cross-country running and Ultimate Frisbee. He played trumpet in the high school marching band.
In college, Ben participated on the Debate Team and the Student Council as a class representative.
Ben loved to snowboard, play ping-pong, and debate anyone on a topic he felt strongly about. He read extensively about human rights, politics, animal welfare, education and psychology. Ben’s passion for human rights, particularly women’s rights, was strong.
He is survived by his mother, Faith Terwilliger and her husband, George, of Putney, VT, his father, David W. Moseley and his wife, Michelle, of Charlestown, a sister, Miranda L. Moseley of Putney, a step-brother, Peter Terwilliger, of Putney, three step-sisters, Rose Terwilliger and Lou Lou Terwilliger, both of Putney, Stephanie Kimball of Charlestown, his paternal grandparents, Sandi and Gary Merrill of Charlestown, and David Sr. and Dotty Moseley, maternal grandparents, Estelle and Bert Wayne of Fresno, CA, paternal great-grandparents, Arthur and Sara Bailey of Charlestown, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Ben’s life will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 11:00AM at the Friends Meetinghouse on Route 5 in Putney, Vermont. (Across from Basketville). All are welcome.
