Anthony Tony T. Molesky

Anthony T. “Tony” Molesky 80, a longtime resident of Gilsum, NH and also of Clearwater, FL, died peacefully, surrounded in love with his family at his side, on Thursday evening, August 24, 2017, at the Pine Heights at Brattleboro, in Brattleboro, VT.

He was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont on February 22, 1937, the son of Michael and Petrone Molesky. He grew up in Alstead, NH and was a 1955 graduate of Keene High School.

Tony was an Army Staff Sergeant serving from January 19, 1959 until August 9, 1965 in both the Army National Guard as well as being called into active duty during the Berlin Crisis.

A resident of Gilsum for 58 years, Tony work as a tool and dye maker with United Tool and Stamping in Alstead, NH for 31 years.

He was a past member of the Town of Gilsum Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Gilsum police department, and also served as Town Selectman.

He retired to Clearwater, Florida where he enjoyed participating in various bowling and shuffleboard leagues.

He will be greatly missed by many, especially his wife of 58 years, Ethel (Tillson) Molesky of Gilsum and Clearwater; his two daughters, Alison Solomonides and her husband, John, of Gilsum, Janine Molesky and her partner, Mitchell Harrison of Alstead; a son, Michael Molesky of Munsonville, NH; seven grandchildren, Jaynah Johnson, Rachel Washburn, Kaanan Kain, Thoreau Blanchard, Emily Solomonides, Andrew Solomonides, Hayden Moynihan; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Johnson and Spencer Johnson; a sister, Frances “Val” Bryant of Westminster, VT; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Washburn; brothers, Augustas Molesky, George Molesky, William Molesky, Alex Molesky, Frank Molesky, Joseph Molesky, Bernard Molesky, John Molesky; and two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Gregorowicz and Anne LaRoche.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00AM in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Centennial Cemetery, Centennial Hill Road, Gilsum. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
