Patricia L. Marceau (nee Totzke) passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Provision Living in St. Joseph, Michigan, following a prayer vigil and with her loving family at her side. She was born on January 2, 1930 to H. Edward and Ursula Totzke (nee Lynch), in Cleveland, Ohio. Patricia graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School in Benton Harbor, Michigan and attended Michigan State Normal College in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She lived in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, Michigan until mid-life, then she lived in Palm Harbor, Florida and Albuquerque, New Mexico, before coming home to Michigan, residing in Rochester to be closer to family.
Patricia is survived by her five children, Kim Foster (Don) Springfield, Ohio, Craig Whitlow (Denise) Cary, North Carolina, Chris Whitlow (Sharon) Coloma, Michigan, Brian Marceau (Katherine) Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Brooke Anne Marceau Griffin (John) Coloma, Michigan; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her three nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Totzke; her former spouse, Harry Marceau; and many more family and friends that she loved. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her dear niece, Mary Ellen Totzke-Hamilton; and her special cousins, Graham Totzke and Donna Rae Zollar.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed deeply. Her joyful and caring spirit will live on through her many children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Patricia is now at peace in the care of our Lord. As she would have said,
“Everything is fine here, and I am doing good.”
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m., (Visitation at 10 a.m.) at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware Ave., Benton Harbor, Michigan.
