James was born the son of Duane and Bertha (Ott) Miller, in Flint, Michigan on July 19, 1952. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School, class of 1970. James earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan where he was on the golf team. James was a manager at Stereo Center in Flint for many years in the 70’s and 80’s. He finished his career in automotive manufacturing sales retiring in 2015. James married Bonnie on July 26, 2015 at Spirit of Grace Church in West Bloomfield.
James had a passion for the friendships he made with so many people, especially for his Anglican church family. He loved his wife’s children and adored the grandchildren. James loved all sports. He was an excellent golfer and enjoyed playing softball and racquetball.
James is survived by his wife Bonnie; and his dog Sandy. He is predeceased by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 28th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at His Church Anglican, 34500 Six Mile Road in Livonia, Michigan.
