

LINTON, Edward Carl, passed away at his residence in Bloomfield Hills on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the age of 91. Edward was born on May 1, 1923 in Pontiac to Elmer and Florence (McCloud) Linton. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army 637th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Edward was employed at GM Fisher Body in Pontiac in Tool & Die and retired in 1989 following 39 years of service. He was also a member of the UAW and the American Legion. He was an avid gambler and enjoyed the games very much. Beloved husband of Lucille Agnes (Flynn) Linton who preceded him in death in 1986 and his second wife, Rose Mary (King) Linton who preceded him in death in 1995. He is the loving father of Sara (Gerald) Kline, Laurie (Robert) Pugh, Edward (Kathy) Linton, the late Julie Ann Linton, Kim (Paul) Adair, Roxann (James) Petiprin, and Michael (Nora) Linton. Beloved Grandfather of Tarie (Kline) Champine, Carrie (Kline) Clymer, Dale Kline, Wendy Pugh, Steven Pugh, Scott Linton, Kelly (Linton) Orlando, Paul Adair Jr., Patrick Adair, Tommy Petiprin, Nicole Petiprin, Sebrina Creamer, Michael Linton Jr., and Melissa Linton. Dear brother of Howard Linton. Also survived by many great and great great grand children , numerous nieces and nephews , and special friends Ed and Loretta Halasz. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at the Pixley Funeral Home, Godhardt-Tomlinson Chapel, 2904 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor. Military Honors and Interment will follow at the Perry Mt. Park Cemetery, Pontiac. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, from 4 pm to 8 pm and Friday at 12 noon.
