Darla Marie Blase

BLASE, Darla Marie, age 49, of Waterford, passed away March 9, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1967 in Pontiac. Darla graduated from Waterford Mott High School, later receiving her massage therapy license. She was an Athletic Assistant at the YMCA and was studying to become an Athletic Trainer. Darla enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making jewelry, everything else requiring an artistic touch, hiking, and spiritual meditation and metaphysics. Mother of Rachel (Michael) Crum and Katie Blase; grandmother of Michelle, Cayden, Lily and Michael, Jr.; daughter of Gordon (Rebecca) Gillette and Gail Gillette; sister of Gordy (Kristen) Gillette; granddaughter of Eleanor Marshall and aunt of Alina Gillette and Brenden Gillette. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Pixley Funeral Home, 2904 Orchard Lake Rd., Keego Harbor; the family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
