Amy Jean Snell

Amy loved the Lord and devoted her time volunteering and attending New Harvest Church with her son Kelan. Outside of church her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and take care of her grandson. This past year she went through many trials but overcame them one by one through her relationship with Jesus Christ. Amy began dancing when she was 8 years old and was a talented dancer even into her teenage years. She was captain of the drill team at Scurry-Rosser High School her sophomore year. Amy was a 1996 high school graduate of Terrell Christian Academy. She had two sons Paten and Kelan who she adored more than anything in the world. Amy was Patens number one fan and was always there to support him at his football games and throughout life. When Paten and Ashley began dating Amy instantly welcomed her as her own daughter. Amy and Kelan were one in the same and he was Amy’s side kick, singing partner, and best friend. When Amy found out that she was going to be a grandma it completely changed her life. When Breece was born he saved her life and she loved being his “lovey”.

Amy is proceeded in death by her great grandparents James and Geneva Carter; great uncle and aunt Bill and Celesta May; grandmother Patty Sandlin; uncle and aunt James and Janet Dearth and cousin John Dearth.

Those left with cherished memories are her two sons Kelan Snell and Paten Snell and his wife Ashley and their father Leroy Snell; her grandson Breece Snell; parents David and Sandi Dearth; brother Davey Dearth Jr. and wife Karri along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other beloved family and close friends who will miss her greatly.

A funeral service for Amy will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Victory Church of Scurry, 7325 South, TX-34, Scurry, Texas 75158 immediately following the funeral service will be a graveside service at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Scurry, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Kelan Snell, Paten Snell, Jaelynn Snell, Michael Bozeman, Michael Nantz, Craig Nantz, Chad Dagley, James Dearth, Charles Dearth and Davey Dearth.
