Wyatt was born on March 1, 2024 to Derek and Jamie Smith, joining siblings Birdie and Emmett who instantly adored their brother. Wyatt blessed countless lives with his tender spirit and calm demeanor. He truly made everyone melt with his precious chubby cheeks and radiant blue eyes.
Wyatt was diagnosed with a rare gene mutation called CACNA1E which caused him to have epileptic spasms, developmental delays and respiratory issues. Despite his diagnosis, Wyatt taught all who cared for him what it meant to have courage and to be brave. He will be remembered for his love for head and belly rubs, his soul-searching eye contact and his love of music and light. His family will miss holding his tiny hands and rocking him to sleep, but this is not the end for Wyatt and he will be with his family again.
Wyatt is survived by his parents, Derek and Jamie; his siblings, Birdie and Emmett; three grandparents, twenty aunts and uncles and thirty-three cousins.
A funeral service will be held for Wyatt from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at 9100 Heritage Bluff Dr, Richmond, TX 77406. All are welcome to attend.
