Shirin Wright Gardner

Shirin Amy Wright Gardner passed away on September 3, 2022 in Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, KY. Shirin was born in Goose Creek (now Baytown) Texas on February 2, 1937. She was the second daughter of Richard Miles Wright and Sarah Amy Wagner Wright of Baytown. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown in 1955. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1959 and Perkins Theological Seminary at SMU in 1961.

Shirin married Kendall Bryan Gardner, Sr. on October 27, 1963. They were married for over 30 years.

Shirin was a loving mother and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Kendall Bryan Gardner, Jr and Susan Gardner of Richmond, Ky and her son and daughter-in-law Kevin Miles Gardner and Tiziana Gardner of Chincoteague, Va.

Shirin is also survived by her brother and sister-in law, Richard and Addie Lou Wright of Madison, Alabama.

Shirin was a loving grandmother to her 3 grandchildren, Brandon Miles Gardner, Heather Elizabeth Gardner, and Steven Alexander Gardner, all of Chincoteague, Va, as well as beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Our mother loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed a wide range of interests, including movies, music, books, puzzles, and watching Football, both college and professional.

Shirin will be missed greatly in this life, but we are comforted in sure knowledge of her presence in the life to come.
