Rosenda Garcia, 52, of Houston, Texas passed away tragically on April 21, 2024. She grew up in Cruztitla, Hidalgo Mexico and moved to Moralio Vera Cruz, Mexico when she was a teenager. She moved to Houston, Texas at the age of 19 and lived in Houston until she passed.
Rosenda enjoyed frequent visits to Chinese Buffets, going to movie theaters, spa’s, nail salons, cleaning, going out to clubs in her 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s, and discovering new parks to walk in. She was best known for her delicious cooking, taking selfies, her work ethic, leadership and her dancing skills. Her favorite things to do include exercising as soon as she wakes up, getting her nails done and showing them off to everyone, taking photos during family gatherings, keeping in touch with friends and distant relatives, shopping for clothes and accessories, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family.
Rosenda was a strong and very independent individual. From a very young age, she possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and managed to help her mother with basic financial obligations and covering for her school expenses.
She was known for her caring and charitable personality throughout her entire life. She enjoyed being there for everyone by providing guidance, laughter, wisdom and financial support. Rosenda always brought people together for holidays and parties. She looked after every child she personally knew as if it was her own and baptized over 10 children. She was also known for giving everyone multiple chances and never held grudges against anyone. She took pride in her image, self-esteem, home, work ethic and the kind person she was.
Rosenda was preceded in death by her mother Leonila Hernandez Azuara.
She is survived by her loving son, Daniel Garcia.
A visitation for Rosenda will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494.
