Ronald Venson, 53, of Richmond, TX passed away suddenly on December 9, 2017. He was born in Atlanta, GA as the eldest of fraternal twin boys to Albert and Bertha Venson. He lived in Atlanta, GA for 45 years before relocating to Texas in 2008 with his wife, Nannette.
Ron worked in the Information Technology field for many years as a Computer Repair Technician at Best Buy Geek Squad. He eventually started his own computer repair business (Venson’s Computer Repair) before expanding the scope of the business into the installation of alarms and video surveillance equipment after merging with C&O Alarm Services (owned by his cousin-in-law, Chris Oueilhe). Upon the death of his cousin and business partner, he modified the scope of work and the business was renamed to Venson’s Computers & Security Camera Installation. His skills, attention to detail and professionalism allowed him to build long term customer relationships and a solid reputation as an IT professional.
Ron’s varied interests included martial arts, collecting comic books and related memorabilia, and he advocated fiercely for equal treatment of African-Americans. Ron was a natural teacher, and he greatly enjoyed teaching/mentoring children and young adults by providing guidance, advice and support. He especially loved spending time with family whether watching a movie, playing video games, taking trips or sharing meals.
Ron is survived by his wife, Nannette Zephyn Venson. His sons, Orian Venson (Atlanta, GA), Jason Venson (Atlanta, GA), Joshua Venson (Atlanta, GA) and the daughter he always wanted, Brittany Zephyn (Houston, TX); grandchildren, Jeremiah, Harper, Malachi, Gabriel, K’Liyah, Noah; mother, Bertha Venson (Atlanta, GA); brother, Donald Venson (Atlanta, GA); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and good friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Katy Funeral
