Bob was born on Pi day 1931 in Passaic New Jersey. He graduated from Bogota High School in 1949. He served in the US Navy as an airplane mechanic during the Korean War on the USS Lake Champlain.
After his discharge from the United States Navy, Bob worked as a tool maker and machinist. He later became a salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he worked for 30+ years and attained the position of Regional Manager for Southwest Michigan.
Bob relocated to Katy Texas after living in Rockford Michigan for 35 years. He quickly embraced his new home state by joining New Hope Presbyterian Church and gained many new friends immediately.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Lucy Radke, sister June Jabowski, beloved cousin Ernest Haussler, grandson Jonathan Radke, son in law John Cantrell and the love of his life for more than 65 years, his wife Lorraine.
He leaves behind his children Patricia and husband Rick Pollack of Delaware, Robert and wife Susan of Texas, Erich and wife Hawaii of Arizona, Dorothy and husband Brian Garrett of Alabama and grandchildren Kristina and husband Danny Jonokuchi of New York, Elijah Cantrell of Delaware, Jacob and Theresa Garrett of Alabama.
Bob was first a devoted husband and father, an honorable war veteran, a patriot and a great friend.

Please join us for a breakfast celebration of Bob’s life at 9:00AM on 01/08/2022 at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, Texas 77494, followed by a memorial service at 10:00AM. Inurnment and a brief service will immediately follow at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Bob would want you to have a glass of wine or the spirit of your choice and remember to be kind.
He was a Mason.
