Robert Bruce Orr was the youngest of six children born to Bruce and Carol Orr in Ashland, Kentucky in 1977. Bobby attended Broad Run High School and enjoyed success in sports such as football, wrestling, and track and field, as well as an active member of the German Club for all four years. He went on to enjoy a career as a manager of a game store and later found true passion in his role as a para at Memorial Parkway Junior High in Katy ISD, where he dedicated his time and energy to supporting others. He leaves behind a legacy of honesty, integrity, and hard work.
In a move that shocked many, Bobby headed across the country from Viriginia to Texas to marry Heather Mills in October of 2005. Bobby and Heather laughed off the surprise of others and were excited to begin their life together. Bobby took on the important role as father to her three young children, Brooklyn, Caleb, and Seth Metzler. They called him Pop and looked to him as their father. The family grew in 2006 with the birth of Ayden Orr, and made complete with the birth of Dillon Orr in 2008. Bobby was thrilled when Seth and Kassie Flanigan gave him his first grandchild, Autumn Metzler.
Known for his love of spending quality time with his family, indulging in action packed movies, true crime stories, and documentaries about space, Bobby's interests were as vast as his heart. His passion for music, video games, and bringing laughter to those around him was evident to all who had the pleasure of crossing his path. Bobby’s laugh was loud and completely infectious and he loved nothing more than to make others laugh with him. This infectious sense of humor as well as his ability to connect with others, made him an immediate friend to everyone he met. He will be remembered for his warm spirit and his zest for life.
Bobby was predeceased by his father, Bruce Orr.
