Raymond Eugene Kowalski

Our dearly loved father, brother, and uncle, Raymond Eugene (Gene) Kowalski born July 12, 1941 in Bremond, TX passed away at his daughter Victoria's home on October 4, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joan, son Keith, parents Anton and Florine, and brother Tony Kowalski. He is survived by his loving children; daughter and son-in-law Victoria and Trey Gebbs, son and daughter-in-law David and Wendy Kowalski, son Raymond Kowalski, son Lance Kowalski, and daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Edward Alonso. Gene is also survived by his lifelong best friends...his brothers Larry and Kenny, and sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Mike Ibanez. Gene is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who were with him and helped him daily during his struggle with cancer.

Gene treasured all of his longtime friends, associates, and clients in the building and remodeling business. Many of his clients became dear friends over the years. Gene overcame many obstacles in his life and he lived his life with such joy and optimism. His faith in our Lord was deep and inspiring. More than anything, Gene treasured time spent with his children. He loved his time with his family, fishing, and being in the country. He was also blessed with the love and friendship of many dear cousins. Gene also had a special place in his heart for his pets.

We are grateful for the kindness and love given to Gene in his last days by Charles Spivey. We also extend our gratitude to A-Med Hospice and especially, Nurse Becky.

Everyone who was blessed to have known him knew the great love he had for others, and that he would want us to fill the void in our hearts with the same great love for one another. In the words of our dearly loved father, brother, and uncle, "10-4 over and out".
