The light that shined so bright faded, and finally went out for Randy Kay Enis, who passed away March 23, 2018. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana on August 26, 1942, to parents Max and Norma Fetty, who then moved the family to Baton Rouge, Louisiana when she was three (3) years old. She subsequently lived and learned in that city, attending Baton Rouge High School, where she married her high school sweetheart, Ben “Beau” M. Enis, Jr., in the summer of 1962. They struggled to make ends meet, and she dropped out of LSU so he could finish his PhD degree there, she did so in May 1967. They then moved to Houston, Texas, where their son, Ben “Trey” M. Enis, III, was born on July 26, 1968. They were divorced in 1975. She went back to college, and finished her degree in Psychology at UHD in 1993. A very outspoken, “tell it like it is person,” and forever the student of psychology, she very much enjoyed exploring the psyche of the human mind. Her main hobby was her deep love of stage and screen; her favorite performers were Natalie Wood, Debbie Reynolds, and Elvis Presley.
She was moved to Brookdale Retirement Community in March of 2016, although her “candle was flickering,” she never lost her wonderful sense of humor; her laugh was truly infectious. She will be missed.
She is survived by her son Ben “Trey” M. Enis, III, ex-husband Ben “Beau” M. Enis, Jr., brother Max Fetty, and nephew Nicholas Fetty, and his two children, Aubri and Wyatt Fetty.
