
Te extraño, Petra. A la Familia de Petra: sepan que todos los que realmente la conocieron, se preocuparon por ella. Petra siempre eligió la paz sobre el conflicto. Ella me enseñó cómo protegerme en el autobús. Aunque nuestras conversaciones fueron breves, fueron consistentes porque hablaba con ella todos los días. Nos confiábamos el uno al otro. Estaba triste cuando me dijeron que ya no la vería. Soy como el resto de ustedes y necesitaré tiempo para sanar. Siempre recordaré su hermoso espíritu cada vez que pase un autobús del metro. Se levantaba todos los días para tomar su autobús y pasar un largo día en su trabajo y aun así encontrar la fuerza para hacer las cosas por su familia. Ella compartió tantas historias conmigo. Los llevaré en mi corazón para siempre. Cuanto más hablábamos, más admiraba su tenacidad y resistencia para superar cualquier obstáculo. Ella fue el mejor ejemplo que tuve al lado de mi abuela por hacer las cosas bien. Espero que ella nos esté mirando a todos desde donde sea que esté ahora. colocaré una rosa en el asiento a mi lado en su honor hasta que mi corazón sane. ¿por qué? Porque Petra representaba el aroma más bonito de todos los días para mí. Te extraño mucho Petra Montano.

This life is just a stopping place, a pause in what is to be. This earth is just a stepping stone, before our true eternity.  Petra's journey was a tough one; but, she made the best of everyday. Remember, no matter what we win or lose -- we were never meant to stay.  Our destination is a place, far greater than we know.  For some of us the journey is quicker, for others the journey is slow.  I will remember Petra and quietly smile;  because, she was the best example of how we should remain positive and strong all the way down to our last mile. 

To me, Petra was beautiful.  A different kind of beautiful from those in the magazines. Petra was beautiful for the way she thought. She was beautiful for the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make people  like me smile no matter what kind of day she was having. Petra was beautiful deep down to her soul. 

You were always so kind to me, Ms. Petra. May those who knew you like I did --continue to speak your name with all the respect you deserved. If I close my eyes in a quiet moment, I can still hear your gentle voice.  May you rest in peace. You will NEVER be forgotten, my friend. 

My deepest condolences and prayers to all the family! I will always remember your beautiful smile! You will be missed here at FLT.
