Olisaemeka Michael Ofodile peacefully passed away at his home in Katy, Texas, on the morning of March 19, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife, Chinenye Ofodile, and their three children: Jaxon, age 8; Micah, age 6; and Giana, age 1. He also leaves behind his mother, Princess Kate Okosi Ofodile; his brother, Obinna Anthony Ofodile; and his sister, Onyeka Roseline Ofodile. He was preceded in death by his father, Prince Okechukwu Anthony Ofodile, as well as his grandfather, Nnabuenyi Mathias Okosi, and grandmother, Comfort Anene Okosi.
On August 30, 1983, in Enugu State, Nigeria, Olisaemeka was born into a royal family as the son of the late Prince Okechukwu Anthony Ofodile and Princess Kate Okosi Ofodile of Onitsha, Anambra State. He excelled academically, graduating with high honors from Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha (DMGS), where he met many lifelong friends. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, forming more lasting friendships. In 2009, he moved to the United States, where he earned two Master's Degrees: one in Information Systems from Strayer University in Charlotte, NC, and another in Professional Studies from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He began his IT career as a Salesforce Administrator for Next Step Living, then became a Senior Salesforce Applications Analyst for Year Up Boston. While in Boston, he met his soulmate Chinenye Nwosu, and they married on August 2, 2012. Their journey into parenthood began in 2017 with the birth of their first son, Jaxon, followed by their second son, Micah, in 2019. Later that year, they relocated to Dallas, TX, where Olisa advanced in his career and became a Software Engineer at Salesforce. Eventually, they decided to settle in Houston, TX, where they welcomed their long-awaited daughter, Giana, in December 2023.
Olisa was a family man through and through. Being a husband and father were the cornerstones of his life, and he embraced these roles with great pride and integrity. He was also a thoughtful son and brother, always making his mother and siblings feel loved and adored. Cherishing quality time with his family, he often filled their home with music and laughter, leading lively dance sessions in their living room that brought joy to everyone around him. His passion for soccer, love of travel, and ability to connect with others were hallmarks of his vibrant spirit. Colleagues and family alike recognized him as a dedicated team player, an analytical thinker, a mentor, and the family’s trusted “fixer,” always ready to offer sound advice and solutions. In times of challenge, Olisa deepened his spiritual connection with God, inspiring many with his unwavering faith and commitment to spreading peace, love, and forgiveness. His absence will be profoundly felt by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
A funeral service for Olisa will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 28102 FM 1093, Fulshear, TX 77441. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery, 9040 FM359, Richmond, TX 77406.
