On July 22, 2019, at age 69, Millicent Dickey Burgess left the earth to stand before our Heavenly Father and hear him speak to her “Well done, Thou good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21). Millie, as known by her family and friends was born to James and Mary Kate Dickey on January 10, 1950 in Brookhaven, MS.
Millie was raised in the small community of Lucien, Ms. where she was a member of Lucien Baptist Church. She was a 1968 graduate of Franklin County High School and attended Copiah Lincoln Community College. She graduated and received her BS in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. In her family home in Lucien, Millie began her life as a wife to Ken on July 22, 1972.
Millie was an active member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and was a servant to God by contributing in the numerous church outlet programs.
