He had a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and was United States Army Retired, Sgt. First Class. He was retired from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs after 20 years of service. He was dedicated to his family life. Involved in being a great father and grandfather. He enjoyed woodwork making planes and model homes and liked fishing, dancing and playing dominoes.
Survivors include his wife, Ramonita Alvarez; children Amarilis, Luis Angel, Noemi, Angel Luis; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and siblings, Juan, German, Eduardo, Enrigue and Michael.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 am until 12:15 pm with the funeral service to be conducted at 12:15 pm on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd. in Katy. Burial with Full Military honors will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
