Lisa Benson Gerber, 66, passed away of a heart attack on November 30, 2017. Her surviving family are: twin sister Linda Benson Curry, nephew Edmund Robert Curry, step-son Christopher Gerber, cousin Emund W Kleinschmit and cousin Joan Kleinschmit Tucker. Lisa was born in Buffalo, NY on September 9, 1951. She grew up in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills Michigan. She graduated in June of 1969 from Bloomfield Hills Lahser High School. She moved to Houston,Texas following high school, and attended U of H, and got her first job as an operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She married her late husband, Edmund Lewis Gerber, on August 23, 1975. For just a few years, while married, she volunteered at the Cy-fair Volunteer Fire Department as a fireman and first aider. Lisa retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T, and, then, attended Lone Star College studying liberal arts. She worked for a short time at Severn Trent Services until 2013. Along with her being a Type 2 diabetic and having had A-fib, she battled Lipedema and Lymphedema everyday. Lisa was a loving compassionate and empathetic person. She was a Catholic and a very spiritual. She enjoyed and loved her dogs, reading, crochet and watching Hallmark romance movies. She loved to listen to each family member's day at work.
