Laura Ann Hurtado

Laura known to her friends and family as Lala was born on December 28, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Felix and Angelita Perez. She attended Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Laura is preceded in death by her mother Angelita H Perez, Brothers Jaime Perez and John Andrew Perez and grandparents.

Laura was a member of Fallbrook Church. Laura truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: She enjoyed being on the water, whether it be a day of fishing, a dip in the pool or just relaxing by the beach. Sundays in the fall, she was guaranteed to cheer on her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. She loved to travel, read, dance, sing and enjoyed a variety of music.

She is survived by her two sons Joaquin and Lucas Hurtado, father Felix Perez Jr., siblings Angela Perez, John Perez, Valerie Chavers, Felix Perez III and Crystal Perez. Nieces and nephew Serena Perez, Sierra Perez, Lauren Wooten, Nathan Perez- Jones, Marley Perez and Londyn Lightfoot and one great niece Olivianna Barrett and childhood friends who became part of our family Nelda Gomez and Joana Valderrama , numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Laura was a beloved daughter, a sister like no other, a loving mother and friend so rare.

Honorary pall bearers are Joaquin Hurtado, Lucas Hurtado, John Perez, Felix Perez III, Nathan Perez-Jones, Oscar Landa and Michael Pecina.
