Kenny was the first of three children born to Kenneth E. and Patsy Greene in Shreveport, Louisiana. During his youth he joined the Boy Scouts of America organization where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in the program. He attended and graduated from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, from McNeese State University. While attending McNeese State he was a proud member of “The Pride of McNeese” Cowboy Marching Band where he served as a drum major.
Kenny had a wonderful sense of humor and was a master of witty banter. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking Cajun cuisine while drinking a glass of wine, training and entertaining his doggies, visiting his grandchildren and spending time outside, with his wife, planting and gardening.
On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, God dispatched his angels and spoke these words, “Well done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” (Mathew 25:23) and he welcomed Kenny home.
He was proceeded in death by his loving parents Kenneth and Patsy Greene. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife Elaine Greene, his sons Gabe Greene and his wife Breanna Greene of Katy, Texas, Jonathan Greene and his wife Leila Greene of Cypress, Texas, his granddaughter Addison Greene and grandson Jackson Greene of Cypress, Texas, his brother Robert Greene and his wife Candace Greene of Lafayette, Louisiana and his little sister Doris Ann Herrmann and her husband John Herrmann of League City, Texas, his mother in law Mrs. Golden B. Coleman of Brookshire, Texas and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
To everything there is a season, a time to every purpose under the heavens; a time to be born and a time to die. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
