Kenneth George Dye was taken peacefully to his heavenly home on Friday, December 21, 2018, in Katy, Texas. George was born September 8, 1941, in Kansas City, KS, to Kenneth and Thelma Dye. He was a graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, OK. He worked as an Electronic Technician displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems. George served our country for six years in the Army, with a deployment in Korea.
George truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching sports and old western movies, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was very involved in his Church as a trustee, and had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
George was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jack and Roger, and his late wife Mildred. He is survived by his wife Judy, his daughters Christine, Barbara, Jody, Becky, Paula, Stacy and Ambir; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family, friends, and others whose lives George touched are invited to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat and remember this remarkable man.
The Visitation will be held at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494 from 5PM -9PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.
The Services will be led by Pastor Larry Maddox at Central Baptist Church, 2855 Greenhouse Rd., Houston, TX 77084, on December 27, 2018 at 11 AM.
The Graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at 5111 S. Memorial Dr., Tulsa, OK, 74145 on Friday December 28, 2018 at 3PM.
