On the early morning of November 6, 2023, John "JJ" Kuehner Sr. passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas surrounded by his family. He was seventy-two years old.
John Kuehner was born in Paterson, New Jersey on November 9, 1950 to Clemence Kuehner & Mary Byron.
After high school, John joined the United States Marine Corps and fought overseas in Vietnam during the war. That is where he met his wife of over fifty years and began his family.
Shortly after returning to the United States, he spent time recruiting for the Marines, and then moved to Texas to join the Houston Police Department in 1978. He started in the traffic and accident department, and later became a field training officer. Senior Police Officer Kuehner retired in 2008.
John Kuehner is survived by his wife, Ngocanh ("Kim"); his son, John Jr. & his son Joseph and his wife Rae-Ellen.
