Jeremiah James Johnson, beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 35. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Jeremiah eventually made Katy, Texas, his home, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, Jeremiah continued his education at Houston Community College, where he pursued his passion for cars, becoming a skilled automotive technician. His love for the outdoors was evident in his favorite pastimes, fishing and cooking, both of which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. Jeremiah was a dedicated father whose greatest joy came from spending time with his sons, Cristian and Landon, teaching them the values of love, kindness, and the importance of family.
Jeremiah was also a man of simple pleasures, often found gaming, watching sports, or taking Cookie, his beloved Schnauzer, for walks. His favorite color, blue, symbolized his calm and steady nature, qualities that endeared him to everyone who knew him.
Jeremiah is preceded in death by his grandmother Irene Cortez Silva, grandfather Gordon E. Clements, uncle Earl C. Clements, and grandfather David Runk.
He is survived by his sons, Cristian and Landon Johnson; his loving mother, Rebecca Johnson, and stepfather, Durand Runk; his father, James Johnson; his sister, Jordyn Johnson; his brother Joshua Johnson, and sister-in-law Brittany Johnson, his nieces and nephew, Madison Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Victoria Johnson, and Grant Johnson; his brother, Jason McCullough, and sister-in-law, Theresa McCullough; his sister, Jamie McCullough, and brother-in-law, Roland Anthony; his niece, Torryn McCullough-Reid; his uncle and aunt, Benjamin and Linda Clements; his grandparents, William and Jane Johnson; and numerous cousins who will all hold his memory dear.
Jeremiah’s extraordinary love for his children and family was the cornerstone of his life. His kindness, warmth, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Jeremiah's life will be held on September 7th at The Epiphany Catholic Church in Katy, Texas, at 10 am.
