Irene M. Ramos

Irene was born September 11, 1954 in Luling, Texas to Pedro and Cliotilde Mendez. Irene grew up in Rosenberg, Texas and graduated from Lamar high school in 1974. She then moved to Katy, Texas where she lived the remainder of her life. Her love of children is what brought her into child care for many years. Her favorite things included nurturing infants, reading mysteries, and all kinds of crafts and scrap-booking, but above all she loved spending time with her children.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Ramon, Domingo, Pedro, Ruperto and Margarito Mendez and her sister Mary Ojeda.

She leaves behind her loving children, sons Alexander Ramos, Christopher Castillo and daughter Krystal Castillo.

Siblings, Juan Mendez and Lupe Redburn.

A memorial service for Irene will be held Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, KATY, TX 77494. A cremation will occur.
