Elgene Pearce Jr., 79, of Katy, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024. He was born on January 25, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas, where he grew up surrounded by family and friends. He attended Paschal High School and went on to attend and graduate from Texas A&M University in 1966 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Throughout his life, Elgene was known for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
Professionally, Elgene was a Chemical Engineer. His passion for different foods, traveling, and being an Aggie was evident to all who knew him, and he often found solace and joy in pursuing his interests alongside his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Judith and their two devoted sons, James and wife Shannon, and Jason Pearce, and grandson Hunter Pearce; granddaughter Hailey Pearce; and his sister Julie Haines.
Elgene will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his gentle spirit, and his profound love for his family.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and integrity that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Elgene Pearce Jr. will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he cherished throughout his life.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home.
