Dennis William McCarty

Dennis was born on October 16, 1948 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Cloyd and Norma McCarty. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree. He retired from KBR after 40 years with the company. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and golfing with friends. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Men’s Senior Golf League at Cinco Ranch Golf Club.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Cloyd and Norma McCarty. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years Joan McCarty of Katy, TX; son, David McCarty and wife Monica of Oakland, CA; daughter, Kelly Moore and husband Ken of Katy, TX; grandchildren Reid McCarty, Maxine McCarty, Lindsay Moore and Darren Moore; brother James McCarty and wife Linda of Kennewick, WA; brother Tim McCarty and wife Gabe of N. Richland Hills, TX; sister Sharon Cook of Redlands, CA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was well respected in the engineering community. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM at Current – A Christian Church 26600 Westheimer Pkwy, Katy, TX 77494. Wear your favorite golf shirt in remembrance of Dennis.
